First Australian Spider 27.14
Australian rental company Monitor Lifts has taken delivery of a 27 metre Platform Basket Spider 27.14, the first in the country.
The spider lift has a dual over centre riser, three section telescopic boom and articulated jib that offers 15 metres of outreach at an up & over height of 10 metres. Platform capacity is 230kg – available at up to 13 metres.

The compact unit weighs 5,000kg and has an overall stowed width of 890mm but the tracks extend hydraulically to 1.29 metres once on site for additional stability. Overall stowed height is just under two metres.

The spider offers 15 metres of outreach
Established in 1997, Monitor Lifts is headquartered in Tamworth, New South Wales. The company says it brought the first spider lift to the Australian market, an 11 metre Leguan. As well as spider lifts, Monitor's fleet includes boom lifts, trailer lifts, truck mounted platforms and glazing robots.
