Actros-rigid with beaver tail

Nottingham-based Mackay Plant Hire has taken delivery of a new 26-tonne Mercedes Actros 2532 rigid built to deliver its range of telescopic handlers.

The 6x2 Actros has a day cab and a beavertail plant body custom built by Shawtrack Services, of Clipstone, Mansfield.

Mackay Plant Managing Director Gordon Mackay explains: "The bodybuilder is used to the demands of the plant hire industry and full appreciated our requirements.

Mackay Plant was founded nine years ago by Mackay and his wife Penny, who is Company Secretary; Jon Macauley is a co-Director. The company supplies equipment to 'blue chip' civil engineers and contractors throughout mainland Britain.
