Kier Plant makes it a million
Staff at Bedfordshire based Kier Plant recently celebrated a record-breaking one million hours of accident free working.
The company, runs a rental operation that includes tower cranes along with general plant and equipment from seven UK depots.
Kier Plant managing director Ian Gordon said:
“This is a great achievement considering the nature of work that has gone on during the period. Our people are constantly on the move and perform such daily procedures as tower crane erections and dismantles, heavy and intricate lifting tasks and site accommodation installations to name but a few.
By remaining focused on continuous improvement in all aspects of health & safety, we will not allow complacency to stand in the way of raising our standards still further.”
