Crawler overturns into creek

A 136 tonne crawler crane overturned into a creek on a site in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday.

The emergency services arrived promptly on the scene and cleared the operator as unhurt, while focusing on dealing with a small amount of oil that leaked out in Fall Creek.

The crane flipped over completely

While the crane landed on the cab, the operator was able to escape relatively unharmed

The crane, a 136 tonne Manitowoc model 555 owned by All, somehow managed to flip over completely, almost certainly due to the loose ground giving way under the tracks. While the machine came to rest upside down the cab space remained intact leaving the operator with cuts bruises and a case of shock.
