A little more Bologna
As already mentioned in our dispatches from Bologna Effer has announced that it is building what it describes as the worlds strongest loader crane. At this show it only has the top boom on display, but it is clear to see what a monster this dual boom crane will be. The 2750 will lift 445 tonnes at 3.2 metres radius and 13.8 tonnes at almost 16 metres radius.

The top, articulated, boom of the new Effer 2750.. the world's strongest loader crane?
It is hardly a loader crane though as when mounted on a five axle truck it has a GVW of over 40 tonnes.
The first unit has been sold in Denmark.

The Effer 2750
Maeda has its new 405 mini crane on display, the first time at a public event, and it has already booked orders for six units, three in Germany, one in Denmark, One in Norway and one in Austria, where it will be used to assemble elevators in the rear of older buildings.
Maeda also confirmed that it has sold three of its 785 cranes to a UK demolition contractor.
Earlier this week we reported on the seemingly magical Leader JET200 truck mount, which claims to offer 8.5 metres outreach at 16.5 metres. Having studied the range diagram it certainly does in theory, at least just a working outreach of over eight metres at a working height of over 16 metres.

The 20 metre Leader Jet 200 with stowable Jib
This is achieved with its unique articulating jib in the horizontal position. The Jib stores inside the main boom for travel, which also allows the machine to be used as an 18 metre straight telescopic. This combination of straight boom or boom with jib has, says Leader, been patented.

The Leader articulating jib stows inside the main boom when not required.
The machine on display is the prototype with production due to start at the end of the year.
Bluelift the new spider lift manufacturer is showing a range of very well designed high specification, high quality machines ranging from 12 metres up to 21 metres, including a new 16 metre compact, which features a single riser and three stage telescopic boom. More on this next week.
The company which has already singed up a number of distributors, including Rothlehner in Germany, is set to confirm an appointment for the UK and Ireland.
Watch this space.
This is most likely our final report from the show, with a more comprehensive review next week and in the next C&A and K&B magazines.
