Tui evaluates Comet Solar
UK based airline TUI Airways has been evaluating the 11 metre Comet Solar 11 truck mounted platform for aircraft inspection work at Manchester Airport, UK.
Mounted on a 3.5 tonne chassis, the Solar 11 has a 3.5 metre long platform, and provides an outreach of four metres with a 400kg platform capacity. It is mostly used for applications that require a big RT scissor lift sized deck and rapid travel speeds. The Solar offers the additional benefit of being driveable from the platform when used within its no outrigger range.
