Alpha Welding and Boat Repair president Ian Bagley said: "This crane is by far the newest and most advanced piece of machinery to come to the island in decades. It will be a tremendous asset to local businesses and building projects in the future."

Based at Dutch Harbor, the largest grossing fishing port by tonnage in the United States, Alpha Welding provides welding, fabricating, machining, commercial fishing boat modifications, and boat and dock repair services.
