Record year for Multitel

Italian truck mounted and spider lift manufacturer Pagliero Multitel achieved a record year in 2018 in terms of revenue and production levels.

The company benefited from the opening of two new production facilities with staff numbers rising to almost 300. It says that monthly production has now reached 120 units a month, with the upward trend continuing into 2019. As a result the annual production exceeded its previous record of 1,200 units.

Order intake outpaced production with order intake topping 1,500 units, 40 percent higher than in 2017. Total revenues for the year were €80 million, almost half of it coming from the French market.

Record sales occurred in most markets in which the company operates, including Germany, the UK, Switzerland and Spain. Italy also saw shipments increase by more than 100 units compared to 2017, helped, it says by commercial changes that it made in the second half of the year.

Multitel plans to launch further new products at Bauma this year, and has purchased another new facility, with 8,000 square metres of production space on a four acre plot. It plans to bring it online by the end of the year or early in 2020, enabling further increases in capacity.

Other changes include the opening of its new UK subsidiary taking its direct sales operations to three – along with France and Germany.
