Saez luffers for Bennetts

UK tower crane rental company Bennetts Cranes has taken delivery of a 24 tonne Saez SL 450 luffing jib tower crane, with a second due for delivery next month.

The first SL 450 has been erected at the St Martin’s Place luxury apartment development in Birmingham, central England, being built by Colmore Tang Construction. The new crane has a 24 tonne maximum capacity, and has been erected to a free standing height of 60 metres with a 40 metre jib, at which it can handle 12 tonnes. The crane will stay on site for more than a year, the second SL 450 will be erected on the same site February with the same jib length, but at a height of 36 metres.
