New managers for Skyjack Europe

Skyjack has recruited two new members to its European management team Jim Waldron and Carsten Sacher.

Sacher joins Skyjack as sales director, Northern Europe, after more than 10 years with JLG where he was regional manager for Germany, the Nordic region, Central and Eastern Europe states and Russia. He started out as an account manager at GE Capital in 2000, moving to a similar role with Key Equipment Finance in 2005, before moving to JLG. In his new role he is expected to strengthen existing customer/dealer relationships within that region, while bringing new ones on board.

“My management experience has historically been on the leasing side for aerial lifts so, knowing what I would look for in my previous position, I am excited to work with Skyjack to bring greater value to our customers,” said Sacher.

Jim Waldron joins the company as product safety manager, from Saudi Arabian aerospace group GDC Middle East, where he was engineering manager. He started his career in 1999 when he joined BAE Systems as a systems engineer, moving through a wide range of engineering roles over the following 16 years with the group, mostly working alongside the UK Ministry of Defence. He left to join GDC at the end of 2016.

Vice president of international operations Charlie Patterson said: “Jim and Carsten have already hit the ground running and are off to a great start with our Skyjack team, and our customers. Carsten brings great insight from over a decade of working within the access industry and Jim’s background with aerospace safety will be a great asset for Skyjack.”

“Our whole team is excited to have a colleague in Europe whose sole focus is on product safety. Waldron’s background provides us with a different perspective, and he has been working hand in hand with our North American product safety team to help further develop Skyjack’s safety initiatives.”
