Accident did not involve scissor lift

A 28 year old man is fighting for his life after plunging 30ft from a warehouse roof. Initial reports suggested that the man - who suffered serious head injuries - had fallen from a scissor platform.
As he was found lying close to the scissor lift.

Police later dismissed this saying that he had fallen from the roof onto a concrete floor.

The accident did not involve the scissor platform



The man - believed to be from North Wales - was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital from the demolition site on Brown Street, off Copse Road, Fleetwood on Monday.

About six people working at the site at the time of the accident were quizzed by police. Health and Safety Executive investigators were also at the scene.
