Tadano Faun appoints general manager

Tadano Faun has appointed Klaus Kröppel as general sales manager.

Kröppel joins the company from Manitowoc, where he has been vice president mobile cranes for Europe and Africa since 2016. Prior to that he was vice president sales for central and eastern Europe for five and a half years.

Klaus Kröppel

He began his career in 1981 as an officer in the German Navy, spending 12 years in service. After leaving the navy, he trained in insurance sales before joining polyvinyl chloride manufacturer European Vinyls Corporation (EVC) as customer complaints coordinator. Two years later he was promoted to logistics coordinator and in 1998 moved to chemicals manufacturer Ineos as a customer service and demand manager.

Kröppel joined Manitowoc in 2002 as head of sales administration and was promoted to commercial director two years later. In 2008 he was promoted again, this time to manufacturing supply chain director, and the following year commercial director. In 2010 he was appointed vice president sales for central and eastern Europe.
