Trailing boom trouble

A 250 tonne five axle crane with a trailing boom almost overturned in Madison Heights, near Lynchburg, Virginia on Monday, as it turned into a side street.

The boom dolly flipped over

Something occurred with the trailing boom dolly, that caused the crane, a Link Belt ATC3275 - belonging to steel erector and crane rental company CES - to lose stability due to the trailer no longer supporting the weight of the boom. While the trailer/dolly was badly affected, the crane looks to have escaped serious damage.
