A new truck mounted platform rental company - Skylift Platforms - has opened in the UK. The new company is offering a range of platforms from 20 to 70 metres and says that it plans to provide a national service as well as local coverage.
Based in Milton Keynes, the new company is owned and managed by Adam Tucker, who was previously co-owner and a director of Total High Access Solutions, the parent of Mobile Platform Hire UK, which operated the same range of machines from St Albans and Milton Keynes - see new truck mounted lift company. The new company is wholly owned by Tucker, who also has a stake in platform sales company Access Machine Sales.
He started out in the access industry in 2014 when he joined the AFI group as a truck mounted lift operator, having been with the British army bomb disposal unit for almost nine years, and later joined Thomann-Hanry as operations manager before setting out on his own.
Speaking of his new venture, Tucker said: "We are a truck mounted specialist offering working at height solutions with the primary focus of safety and great customer service at heart. We are already working under tried, tested and robust management systems, offering a premium service at affordable prices for both rehire and end user customers. The company has a fleet of truck mounted platforms with working heights from 20 to 70 metres working heights with an average fleet age of four years.”
“It is time for change and Skylift are positioned to simply offer reliable equipment and service throughout the country at affordable prices. As a trusted partner to many existing powered access companies in the UK, I hope to further develop these partnerships while maintaining the great relationships we hold with our own direct client base.”
