Container handler transport fatality

A reachstacker came off the back of a truck in Durban South Africa yesterday, rolling onto two mini bus taxis and another car, killing one and injuring up to 30 others.

The Kalmar reachstacker/container handler broke free from its trailer as the truck was descending a hill in the Merebank near Durban, on Friday night. The handler trapped several of the injured in the cars. Two large wrecker trucks were brought in to remove the handler from the wreckage.
