Cramo buys Norwegian access Co
Finnish based Cramo group that comprises both Cramo and RK, has acquired all of the outstanding shares in Hamar Liftutleie an access rental company based in Hamar Norway.
Hamar Liftutleie is managed by Kjell Pettersson and as been in business for 30 years. It expects revenues of approximately 15 million NOK (£1.2/€1.8 million) in 2006 and has five employees who all of whom will stay with the company.
Hamar Liftutleie will continue its rental operations in the Mjös region under its own name as the company has a strong position in the region. It will also add a further location to the 20 Cramo already has in Norway.
“The acquisition of Hamar Liftutleie adds valuable competence and gives us a better position in an area where we this far have needed a stronger presence”, says Finn Lökken, managing director of Cramo AS, Cramo’s Norwegian operation.
“The acquisition is a logical step in our effort on the Norwegian market” said Martti Ala Härkönen, chief financial officer of the parent, Cramo Oyj. “We are continuously evaluating the possibilities to grow further”.
”Cramo AS is an equipment rental company with a wide and modern product range. The last few years there has been extra focus on developing the access and construction equipment side. The acquisition of Hamar Liftutleie will improve the depot network in Norway and thus contribute to an improved service level towards the customers”. He continued.
