Crane closes motorway
A mobile crane overturned on the M11 motorway north of London in the UK tonight, closing the road.
The crane a three axle City type All Terrain crane struck the central reservation and overturned after careering off the concrete barriers. The road was closed causing back ups of around 12 miles.
Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident.

UPDATE
It has been confirmed that the driver was unhurt in the incident and that the cause was a tyre blow out which caused the crane to swerve into the barrier and then overturn.

Hmmmm...wonder "who" has confirmed the blow out, Baldwins trying to deflect attention? I'll await confirmation from Police/DVSA investigation thanks.

Boydg whatever your name is.to quick to judge what happened here.front offside blow out etc.the wheels are probably like that due to smashing in to a concrete central reservation and ripping tie bars off etc.

Yup that's Baldwins again, not surprised. Other pictures available show axles steering at differing angles, pointing to failed steering components probably through a lack of maintenance AGAIN! Worked for the company for years so I know what there attitude to maintenance is like ! Time for mandatory MOT for cranes, not the phoney voluntary scheme proposed by CPA a total waste of time.
