Four HR28 Hybrids for Wemo-Tec

German rental company Wemo-Tec has purchased four 86ft Niftylift HR28 4x4 hybrid articulated boom lifts.

The HR28 offers up to 19 metres of outreach with an unrestricted platform capacity of 280kg, a working height of 28 metres and yet weighs under 15 tonnes. The hybrid drive includes direct diesel power, plus a full battery electric power pack which combine when additional ‘grunt’ is required for heavy mud or steep inclines.

Nifty hands over four new Niftylift HR28 4x4 to Wemo-Tec


Wemo-Tec’s work platform and lifting manager Helge Jost said: "With the hybrid drive of the HR28 4x4, we are offering our rental customers the most effective, economical and environmentally friendly drive option. The articulated telescopic platforms are extremely versatile for indoor and outdoor use and offer impressive performance."

Wemo-Tec rental is based in Eichenzell near Fulda and runs a fleet of around 600 machines.

Note: Yes it would have been a good example/good practice to have worn harnesses and lanyards while at the controls of a boom lift – even though they are at ground level and not moving making the risk almost zero.
