New Hiab dealer for N.Ireland

Hiab has appointed MAW Engineering as its authorised sales and installation partner in Northern Ireland.

MAW is a joint venture established last year by Mark Cuskeran - former managing director of semi-trailer manufacturer SDC Trailers (now owned by China’s CIMC) and William Stobart - formerly of Eddie Stobart Logistics. The new company specialises in the manufacture of walking floor trailers and bodies and operates from a new 4,650 square metre facility on a six acre site on the Creagh industrial estate in Toome, County Antrim.

MAW Engineering will now be responsible for all Hiab, Multilift, Jonsered and Effer products throughout Northern Ireland, while current dealer Dennison Bodyshop will continue to provide product support and replacement parts for the region.

Managing director, Mark Cuskeran said: “Hiab produces excellent products and we are delighted to become its partner. We have a modern facility on six acres in Creagh, which will have a dedicated demonstration area for the Hiab products. We have worked with Dennisons many times over the years. They are a very professional company and provide a great service and parts offering. Our prospective sales teams will work closely together.”

Hiab's UK and Ireland managing directed Ian Mitchell said: “Dennisons has been providing a fantastic servicing and spare parts service to our customers in Northern Ireland for the past three years. Now we have a sales and installation offering from MAW Engineering to complement that provision, which gives our customers in Ireland access to a full package of Hiab sales, installation, service and parts.”
