US crane rental company Maxim Crane Works has taken delivery of 650 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 All Terrain crane at Conexpo this week.
Launched at bauma, the eight axle crane is available with both a 54 and 80 metre telescopic boom, and features a luffing jib ranging from 21 to 91 metres. Features include the company’s Vario Ballast and Vario Base technologies while it is also able to travel within 12 tonne axle loads.
Frank Bardonaro, chief operating officer at Maxim, said: “We feel that the eight axle Liebherr will provide our customers and our team with the most versatile and reliable machine in its class. As we continuously review the current and future needs of our customers throughout the US, it is clear that the need for large all terrain cranes will continue to lead the way toward the future and we are confident that this is the best machine in its class.”
