Oil & Steel deliveries continue

Oil & Steel has completed the delivery of four new truck mounted platforms to three different companies in Germany.

Based in Lohmar, near Cologne, crane and access company Salgert has taken delivery of a 22.6 metre Scorpion 2313 straight telescopic mounted on a 3.5 tonne Nissan chassis, and a 21 metre Scorpion 2112J telescopic with jib mounted on a 3.5 tonne Isuzu truck. The Scorpion 2313 provides 12.8 metres of outreach and a platform capacity of 250kg, while the Scorpion 2112J offers 12 metres of outreach and a platform capacity of 200kg. It also features outrigger controls both on the chassis and in the basket and can work free on wheels at heights of up to six metres with a capacity of 120kg - slew is limited to around five degrees off centre - ideal for street lighting applications.

Electrical contractor Elektro-Ebert of Dannstadt-Schauernheim, near Frankfurt, has taken delivery of a 17.8 metre telescopic Scorpion 1812H Plus with an insulated work platform. Mounted on a 3.5 tonne Isuzu chassis, the 1812 provides an outreach of 12 metres and a maximum capacity of 225kg.

Finally, Augsburg based access rental company Arbeitsbühnen Groß has taken delivery of a 23.5 metre Snake 2413 H Plus articulated truck mount, the final unit in a four machine order which includes two 20 metre Snake articulated truck mounts and a 14 metre spider lift. The Snake 2413 provides an outreach of 12.6 metres with a platform capacity of 80kg, while maximum platform capacity is 250kg. Upon taking delivery, the new machine went straight to work helping with the inspection a church roof in Rottenburg.
