First CTE Zed 25HN goes to Slovakia

The first unit of CTE’s new 25 metre ZED 25 HN articulated truck mounted platform has been delivered to the cleaning and maintenance division of Slovakian manufacturer TreeGuard.

The new platform, which features inboard outrigger jacking, was sold through CTE dealer HYCA and offers a maximum outreach of 12 metres with 100kgs at an up & over height of 10 metres. Maximum platform capacity it 250kg at almost 11 metres over the rear and a little less over the side. The control system includes adjustable ramp up and down settings and simultaneous multi-function operation. CTE's S3 Smart Stability System monitors the position of the boom, jacks and weight in the basket in real time, adjusting the working envelope to match. The platform will be used for façade maintenance and cleaning work.

The new Zed 25HN in action

Tree Guard commercial director Adrián Avuk said: “The articulated aerial platform is a great solution for our needs. We already have the ZED 20.3HV and have experienced great flexibility given by this machine, especially the up and over feature. Additionally, HV provides higher stability at height and greater outreach. In the end, we ordered an HN model thanks to the seven tonne chassis we provided. It is even better in practice since we can get much closer to the building, no need to use the outriggers horizontally. I totally recommend this option to any of your future clients.”

Hyca is a recent appointment by CTE and builds and installs a wide range of truck bodies and attachments as well as selling small locally produced truck mounted platforms. The company had previously purchased two 29 CTE ZED 29 J kits to be installed on 18 and 12 tonne chassis.
