First electric drive Sinobooms in Switzerland

Swiss company rental company Rent-It has taken delivery of the first Sinoboom electric drive scissor lifts in Switzerland.

The new machines were delivered to the Rent-It facility in Dietlikon via Rotterdam, where they had arrived from China on board the ship Lion City.

On the way down the Rhine aboard the barge Gerard Albert


After being transferred to the Rhine barge Gerard Albert in Rotterdam, they travelled down river to Basel, where they arrived and were unloaded at the Contargo terminal. From there it was only a short drive to the Rent-It facility. The shipment of 19 slab electric scissor lifts ranges from the 13ft GN1330E micro scissor lifts, to the 46ft GN4655E.

Rent-It managing director Silvio Hitz said: "The 19 units were all eagerly awaited. This is our first delivery of Sinoboom electric scissors with direct electric drive, and they were put into operation immediately. As with our first delivery three years ago, we are very satisfied with the quality of the nano-paint technology and the overall quality of the units. ”

The delivery was also one of the first for Sinoboom's new European operation under Tim Whiteman, who was there to welcome the arrival of the containers in his home town of Basel. He said: “The logistics worked really smoothly. And I expect the Basel route to become an integral part of deliveries for our Swiss customers.”
