Ahern to distribute Faresin Ag telehandlers in Germany

Italian telehandler manufacturer Faresin has appointed Ahern Deutschland, the Snorkel and Xtreme Manufacturing distributor for Germany and Austria, as its official agricultural telehandler distributor in Germany.

Ahern will stock five agricultural models, including three compact models - the six metre/2,600kg 6.26, the seven metre/3,000kg 7.30C 74hp and nine metre/3,000kg 9.30C 74hp. It will also add two models from Faresin’s Mid Range with the seven metre/4,500kg 7.45 HLS and eight metre/4,000 kg 8.40 HLS 74hp, along with VPSE 100 variants. Ahern says that it will widen the range it carries and stocks, if customer and market demand warrants it.

To support its Faresin sales efforts, Ahern has given Felix Zimmerman the responsibility for sales of Faresin telehandlers to the agriculture and construction sectors in the region around Ahern Deutschland’s base in Weyerbusch - between Cologne and Frankfurt - this in addition to the direct sales of Snorkel aerial work platforms, telehandlers and material lifts to the industrial and trade sectors across Germany and Austria, which he has handled since joining the company in February.

Ahern is also looking to appoint regional sub-dealers across Germany and Austria, to handle sales, service and spare parts for Faresin agricultural telehandlers, as well as Snorkel construction telehandlers.

Faresin chairman Sante Faresin said: “Selecting the right distribution partners is a critical element of successfully growing our business, and we take our time to ensure that we work with established, respected and trustworthy partners in all markets. We have known the Ahern Deutschland team for a number of years and are confident that they are the right partner to introduce our agricultural telehandler models to the German market.”

Ahern Deutschland was set up in 2015 (see: Snorkel goes direct in Germany) and is owned by Snorkel/Ahern Rentals/Xtreme owner Don Ahern, with Bernhard Kahn as managing director. It operates from a 18,500 square metre facility in Weyerbusch, in the Westerwald-Rhein/Sieg area of Germany.

Kahn said: “The Faresin products are industry proven and very well regarded in the agricultural sector globally. They understand their agricultural customers and have developed a range of high quality and reliable telehandlers that deliver the ultimate in safety and productivity while maintaining simplicity in operation and maintenance. This is supplemented by a wide range of attachments that provide maximum flexibility for customers.”

“While there is a strong farming customer base who will be interested in the Faresin range, I also see these products as a natural fleet addition for many of our existing customers in rental and construction, who are already familiar with operating telehandlers and may serve or have opportunities in agricultural markets. We have appointed a specialist sales representative to focus on market development for the agricultural telehandlers and I am confident that we will achieve long-term success in this region, working in partnership with the Faresin team.”
