Based on the 65 metre T 650 HF, the new machine has a longer three section 24.6 metre upper boom, and a 1.7 metre higher pivot point with the five section main boom, thanks to an increase in the maximum boom angle to 83 degrees, which also provides the benefit of a greater up & over height. The new machine is also equipped with Ruthmann’s two metre highflex 'Rüssel' articulated jib with 220 degrees of articulation and can reach up to 17 metres below ground.

The new Dynamic Reach System (DRS ) is another option that the company thinks will be popular, given that it optimises the outreach under different operating conditions and thus gets the maximum out of the machine for circumstances on each job. These include pre-settings for sites with low ground bearing capacity, or for working in high wind speeds.
The first unit has been sold to Austrian crane access and telehandler rental company Felbermayr.
