Another 100t for Walkers

UK crane rental and haulage company Walkers of Tuxford has taken delivery of a second 100 tonne Grove GMK4100L-1 All Terrain crane.

Joining a GMK4100L purchased in 2018, the new four axle GMK4100L-1 features a 60 metre main boom plus a 17.6 metre bi-fold hydraulic luffing swingaway and an eight metre extension to offer a maximum tip height just over 90 metres. Features include the company’s MAXbase variable outrigger setup, remote controls and a counterweight system for the UK market which allows 10 tonnes of the travel counterweight to travel on the superstructure instead of being removed and carried on the chassis.

Jack Walker said: “We have an excellent relationship with Grove and we get great service from the company as a whole. We chose the 4100L-1 as we had great success with the previous 4100L and with the improved load chart on the new crane it was a no brainier. This is one of five groves we run with the flagship being a GMK5220.”
