13 Airos for UP

Swiss aerial lift sales and rental company UP group has taken delivery of 13 Airo boom lifts including a number of the newly launched 54ft hybrid A18JRTH Plus articulated boom lifts.

The A18JRTH was introduced just a few months ago and follows the launch of a diesel version last year – see: Airo launches 54ft hybrid. It offers a working height of 18.45 metres, an outreach of 9.9 metres with an up & over height of 8.4 metres and a 300kg platform capacity. Maximum platform capacity is 400kg which is available with an outreach of up to 8.5 metres. The articulating jib can rotate horizontally by 130 degrees - 65 degrees either side of centre - while 180 degrees of platform rotation is standard.

The A18JRTH was introduced just a few months ago


The A18JRTH Plus driveline uses rough terrain axles with four wheel drive and four wheel steer and a lithium-ion phosphate battery pack. It also features a Yanmar Stage V/T4F diesel and generator to top up the battery pack. Gradeability at 40 percent matches the diesel 4x4 model. While total weight is 8,930kg, a ‘Supercharger’ function can also be used to completely recharge the machine in two hours.

The order also includes a 10 metre V10E mast boom, with an overall width of just under a metre, an outreach of 3.3 metres and has 355 degrees slew with a 200kg platform capacity.
