Sennebogens for AWV

Austrian waste management company AWV Liezen has taken delivery of two heavy duty Sennebogen 355 E telehandlers from distributor Ascendum.

Replacing three wheel loaders at the waste treatment centre, the 5.5 tonne/8.45 metres 355 Es can handle 4,850kg at its maximum lift height and take 2,400kg out to 4.35 metres. Weighing 11.5 tonnes a key feature includes the company’s elevating Multicab which provides an eye level height of 4.2 metres.

The new telehandlers will be used to carry out a range of material handling applications such as filling landfill sites, feeding the treatment systems and putting materials in the bioreactors and loading trucks.

Managing director Ludwig Bretterebner, said: “Thanks to the huge versatility of these machines, with two 355 Es we can cover a wider range of tasks than we could with the wheel loaders. Obviously, we looked at various telehandlers during this time, but the numerous benefits of the 355 E’s elevating cab were what swayed us in the end.”
Based in the Liezen, central Austria, AWV Liezen processes approximately 16,000 tonnes of residual, organic, bulky and commercial waste each year either in landfill sites or using a mechanical-biological waste treatment system.
