Haulotte to build new plant in China
Haulotte is to build an all new production facility in China in order to expand the range of products it manufactures in the country.
Haulotte entered the Chinese market in July 2006 with an office in Shanghai, and added its production facility in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, in July 2009, initially to just serve the Chinese domestic market. Since then however it has gradually ramped up to service surrounding Asian markets, then the Pacific region, and now exports electric scissor lifts worldwide when demand dictates. In the meantime the Chinese domestic market has been growing rapidly and is estimated to have grown by 30 percent last year, averaging a 35 percent annual growth rate since 2017.
To keep up with the growing market, Haulotte is to build an additional 44,000 square metre facility on a 20 acre plot close to its existing plant. It will not only be equipped with the latest equipment, technology and process, but will also be home to a custom design and engineering department.
Construction on the new facility began a few weeks ago, with the opening scheduled for the first half of 2022.
