Large Fassis for Collett

UK heavy lift and haulage company Collett & Sons has taken delivery of a further two 115 tonne/metre Fassi F1150RA.2.26 loader cranes.

Mounted on Volvo FH 8x4 tractor units, the cranes can handle 22 tonnes at a radius of 4.15 metres, or 5.6 tonnes at 15.45 metres. The new Euro 6 compliant units will be based in Scotland and predominantly used for the delivery of wind turbine components as well as general transport and lifting applications.

Managing director David Collett, said: “We chose the combination of Volvo and Fassi as we consider them to provide good, robust and reliable products. These latest additions to our crane vehicle fleet provide an adaptable transport and lifting solution for our customers, allowing us to undertake lifting operations in even the tightest of spaces.”

The two new Fassi F1150RA loader cranes have been added to a third delivered last year

Established in 1928, Collett & Sons is based in Halifax, with depots in Goole, and Grangemouth in Scotland. It also has a subsidiary in Dublin, Ireland. The company runs a fleet of loader cranes with lifting capacities ranging between nine and 205 tonne/metres as well as a large range of trucks and trailers.
