New Klaas for Edins

Swedish crane rental company Edins Kranar has taken delivery of the first six tonne Klaas K1003 truck mounted aluminium crane in the country from distributor Kranlyft.

Mounted on a three axle Mercedes Actros 2530 chassis with a rear steerable axle, the K1003 features a four section 31 metre main boom and a four section 18.5 metre jib/upper boom for a maximum tip height of 54 metres. It can handle three tonnes at a radius of 11 metres, one at 30 metres and 250kg at its maximum 44 metre radius. Features include a three tonne capacity winch, a maximum outrigger spread of less than six metres and an electric hybrid drive.

Edins' new Klaas K1003 truck mounted aluminium crane

Jonas Gadolin, Kranlyft technical director, said: “Edins Kranar is a well-established company with over 30 cranes in operation. We are confident that this will be a strong addition to their fleet and that they will experience the many advantages of the truck mounted aluminium crane. The K1003 has a limited ground base without having to forego immense reach values, which is ideal for urban environments and challenging work sites that they often meet."

Founded in 1972, family owned and run Edins Kranar operates a fleet of mobile, loader, spider and mobile tower canes from its locations in Järfälla, Vårby and Uppsala.
