Heavy duty Ag tele from Merlo

Merlo has topped out its agricultural Turbofarmer telehandler range with the addition of the heavy duty 8.8 metre/6.5 tonne TF65.9TCS170-HF.

Designed for the agricultural, aggregate, renewable energy, timber and waste sectors, the TF65.9 can handle its maximum capacity at a height of 8.8 metres and 2,000kg at the maximum forward reach of 4.7 metres. It has an overall width of 2.4 metres, a stowed height of 2.51 metres and a length of 5.26 metres.

The new TF65.9 is the latest to join Merlo's Turbofarmer range

Power comes from a Stage V 170hp FPT turbo diesel engine which features a Diesel Particulate Filter and a Selective Catalytic Reduction system. Merlo's hydrostatic transmission comes as standard while its MCVTronic CVT transmission, which increases torque at lower speeds and optimises efficiency at higher speeds, is also available. Its Eco Power Drive Top system features three modes - Eco, Speed Control and Heavy Load - to automatically control the engine response to deliver power in the most efficient manner. Maximum travel speed is 25mph, while it can also self-level on lateral slopes of up to eight percent.

The TF65.9 can handle its 6.5 tonne maximum capacity at a height of 8.8 metres

The TF65.9 is also equipped with the company’s new ASCS (Adaptive Stability Control System) which displays the available lifting chart in real time based on the load, attachment in use and stability. A new HF (High Flow) hydraulic system delivers a flow of up to 160 litres a minute, while the company’s hydro-pneumatic CS cab suspension system is standard equipment.
