KDM expands

Irish rental company KDM Hire has opened a second depot in the greater Belfast region and has plans to relocate its Dublin base to a new site later this year as part of a £11 million expansion programme.

The new depot, located in Castlereagh, to the south east of Belfast, joins the existing Belfast depot in Newtownabbey and its headquarters location in Cookstown, County Tyrone. It will offer the company’s range of powered access, scaffold towers, general construction equipment and tools to the greater Belfast, Lisburn and County Down area. The company has also acquired a three acre/12,000 square metre greenfield site in Blanchardstown, Dublin, which it hopes will become operational later this year. The expanded operation will see the company add a further 25 staff, taking its total to 180.
