Scottish rental company Active Access has taken delivery of the first six 32ft LGMG SR1018D Rough Terrain scissor lifts in Europe.
Launched earlier this year (see: LGMG adds to RT scissors), the diesel powered SR1018D offers a working height of 11.7 metres with a 454kg platform capacity, rated for four indoors and two outdoors. Weighing 3,980kg, it has an overall width of 1.73 metres, a length of 3.12 metres and a stowed height of 2.55 metres - which is reduced to just over two metres with the rails folded down. Features include four wheel drive, oscillating axles and 35 percent gradeability.
Supplied by the UK/Ireland distributor Access Platform Sales, the units join a further 22 LGMG scissor lifts in the company’s fleet, including a number of electric 19ft SS0407Es, 19ft AS0607WEs and 26ft AS0808Es.
Company owner Seref Zengin said: “We first invested in electric scissors and were pleased with their performance, with very good feedback from customers. They liked the simple controls, good build quality and powerful, long-lasting battery charge, and there have been no niggles or complaints, which is telling. As soon as they were delivered we could send them out after quick checks. This indicates that turnarounds between hires will be fast as well, which is a big benefit for us.”
APS northern sales director Shane Paver, added: “Focusing on precisely what customers want delivered through simple but effective design is an LGMG mantra. That doesn’t mean they’re not smart and sophisticated scissor lifts. They have clever design fixes that make them easier to use. LGMG scissor lifts also have very useful features like electronically controlled braking and all electric drive on the electric scissor lifts, for improved power and reliability.”
Established in 2003, Active Access runs a fleet of boom, scissor and spider lifts from its location in Bellshill near Glasgow.
