UK crane rental company Dewsbury & Proud has taken delivery of its first Böcker aluminium truck crane, a six tonne AK 46/6000, while a second unit is scheduled for delivery in July.
The AK 46/6000 features a 33 metre main boom plus an 11 metre telescopic offsettable jib and a two metre extension. It can handle its maximum capacity at a radius of eight metres or one tonne at 26 metres and 250kg at 39 metres.
Mounted on a 26 tonne MAN chassis with a rear steering axle, features include wireless remote controls with colour screen, automatic levelling, and fully variable outrigger set up and monitoring. The crane was also supplied with Böcker’s PK 250-D work platform which provides a working height of 30.5 metres with a 250kg platform capacity.
Managing director Tim Proud said: “This is our first Bocker and I’m impressed with the quality of finish and integrated safety features. After our initial induction we sent the machine out on hire and it has not stopped since. It is quick and efficient, adaptable and easy to use. We are looking forward to our second Böcker arriving in July.”
Established in 1977, Dewsbury & Proud operates from four locations in the Midlands - Wolverhampton, Loughborough, Coventry and Stoke - and runs a fleet of 40 mobile cranes alongside a small fleet of mini cranes and loader cranes.
