JLG adds VP digital tech

JLG has appointed David Bammel as vice president of digital technology for JLG and sister company Jerr-Dan.

He will be responsible for the development and execution of a digital vision and strategy for each brand and will be based at the company’s offices in Hagerstown, Maryland.

He joins JLG from GCP Applied Technologies where he was senior vice president of IT and business transformation having joined the company as chief information officer in early 2016. He began his equipment related career in 1995 with EDS/Delphi Automotive Systems as an analyst, before moving to Digiquant as a regional account manager in 2001. A year later he was recruited by agricultural equipment manufacturer and distributor AGCO, as global manufacturing systems manager, then in 2004 was promoted to chief information officer for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, based in the UK. In 2011 he moved back to the USA to become senior director of global IT services for WR Grace, leaving for GCP in 2016.
