Hinowas for Felbermayr

Austrian rental and heavy transport company Felbermayr has taken delivery of a 32.5 metre hybrid Hinowa Lightlift 33.17 and a 15 metre lithium-ion Lightlift 15.70 spider lift from local distributor Dorn Lift.

Powered by a Kubota diesel and lithium-ion battery pack, the 33.17 offers an outreach of 16.5 metres with an up and over height of 17.5 metres and an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. The lithium-ion Lightlift 15.70 offers an outreach of 6.6 metres, with an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg.

Features on both include one touch self-levelling outriggers and the company’s Auto2Speed system which automatically reduces travel speeds when the machine is on an incline or on uneven surfaces. The 15.70 will be based in Liechtenstein while the 33.17 will be used in and around Graz, Austria.

Robert Bauer, Felbermayr divisional manager, said: “Convincing arguments in favour of a lithium-ion drive are, in addition to sustainability, the power and the low level of noise pollution. The use of the bi-energy drive ensures that working at heights is possible despite increasingly strict regulations. Because of the low noise emissions, more and more rental customers are choosing an alternative type of drive."

Established in 1942, Felbermayr employs 2,750 across 69 sites in 19 European countries. It runs a large crane and aerial work platform rental fleet, and offers heavy lift and transportation services.
