Four Kobelcos for Delden

UK sales and rental company Delden Cranes has started taking delivery of four 100 tonne Kobelco CKE900G-3 lattice boom crawler cranes.

The CKE900G-3 features a 51.8 metre main boom and can handle its maximum capacity at a radius of 3.6 metres and 2.8 tonne at its maximum radius of 46.1 metres. Features include a Stage V diesel with its G-Engine system which reduces fuel consumption by limiting maximum engine speed with no loss of winch speed. An Auto Idle Stop function (AIS) cuts the engine automatically when the crane is not lifting. The crane also features Kobelco's KCross remote telematics management system, 'G-Mode' - complete with 'G-winch' - for higher speeds without raising the engine speeds. The first unit to be delivered has also been specified with special tractor type flat track shoes.

Delden managing director, Sean Nyland, said: “Our investment in Kobelco cranes demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with the latest and most modern machines available. Besides which, these newest CKE900G-3s have been purchased specifically because of their environmental credentials, improving quality and service to our customers, and with a variety of configurations aimed specifically at supporting the environmental requirements of working on High Speed 2 and other significant infrastructure projects.”

Established in 1975, Delden Cranes is based in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire, and runs a fleet of crawler cranes topped by a 400 tonne Terex CC 2400-1. The company also provides spare parts and attachments for crawler cranes.
