Almac opens UK subsidiary

Italian self-levelling tracked aerial lift manufacturer Almac has opened a subsidiary in the UK to sell and support its Almacrawler platform range.

Almac Atlantic Ltd is registered in London, but will operate from south Cambridgeshire, supporting existing Almac customers while looking to expand its customer base. This is the second overseas subsidiary for the company following Almac Pacific, which opened in Sydney, Australia, in 2018.

Almac area manager Oana Samoila is responsible for the UK market and will support UK sales manager Malcolm Kitt in the new venture. The new venture will stock machines and replacement parts, while the company is also looking to recruit further locally based staff and/or team up with service suppliers.

General manager Andrea Artoni, said: "We have been considering opening in the UK for some time, we have considerable customer growth in the area, and we are committed to offering excellent customer experience and service. With the successful experience of the establishment of Almac Pacific, we decided it was time to make the move and open Almac Atlantic. We will be working directly with the market and have already established a series of collaborations for sales and service that we will be shortly announcing.”

Kitt, who has been with the company for five years, added: “Almacrawler strongly believes in the creation of partnership and collaboration and sees itself more as a partner than a supplier. We are constantly working on holding ourselves to higher standards to ensure we not only deliver great products, but also a great overall experience.”
