Fatal crane incident
A man has died following an incident involving a crane on a site in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
The incident occurred last Thursday at a building site in the town, which is due north of Toronto. According to the police and fire officials the crane “collapsed”, but other information we have received suggests that it involved the load - a steel beam - dropping. We also know that the man, Corey Phillips, 52, who was declared dead at the scene, was employed by North Steel working as a supplier to the main contractor Bertram Construction.
