First spider for Wavetrade
UK crane rental company Wavetrade has taken delivery of its first spider crane, a four tonne Hoeflon C10, from local distributor Foster Cranes.
The C10 features a five section 16.3 metre main boom plus a three section hydraulic jib to offer a maximum tip height of 21.3 metres and a radius of 19 metres, at which it can handle 209kg. Overall weight is 4.7 tonnes wiht jib on board, while the overall width is just 800mm and overall length 4.15 metres. Features include 360 degrees slew, radio remote controls and non-marking tracks which offer widths from 800mm to 1.1 metres.
Wavetrade managing director David Saunders, said: “Having thought for some time about buying a smaller machine for our limited access works I was introduced to the Hoeflon product and was very impressed by what it offered in terms of build quality, compact size and lifting capacity.”

Established in 1986, Wavetrade operates a fleet of All Terrain and loader cranes with capacities from 30 to 100 tonnes. Located in Lowestoft, Suffolk, the company carries out lifting activities at the port of Lowesoft, as well as general lifting activities throughout Suffolk and Norwich.
