France‘s first Genie Z-62/40 TraX

French rental company Sofranel has taken the first 62ft Genie Z-62/40 TraX boom lift to be delivered in the country.

Sofranel, which is based in Wambrechies, on the north side of Lille in the Hauts de France region of Northern France, purchased the 62ft Genie Z-62/40 TraX tracked articulated boom lift from local dealer EMM, which is based in Cappelle-la-Grande, near Dunkirk which will also service the new machine.

The Z-62/40 TraX offers a maximum working height of just under 21 metres, an outreach of 12.42 metres at an up & over height of 7.8 metres with 227kg platform capacity. It will be used on a variety of construction projects, demolition work and tree pruning.

Sofranel first spotted the Z-62/40 TraX boom, with its four independent triangular rubber tracks, on the Genie stand at bauma in 2019. The company already owns Genie S-65 TraX telescopic boom lifts.

Founded in 1977, Sofranel runs a wide range of equipment in its fleet. Its aerial lifts include self-propelled models and a growing range of tracked machines from Genie, ATN, Almac and Palfinger. It also operates a small fleet of truck mounts.
