UK rental company Eastern Crane Hire has taken delivery of its first Böcker aluminium truck crane, an AK 46/6000.
The AK 46/6000 features a 33 metre main boom plus an 11 metre telescopic offsettable jib and a two metre extension for a maximum tip height of 46 metres. It can handle its maximum capacity at a radius of eight metres, one tonne at 26 metres and 250kg at 39 metres. Mounted on a 26 tonne MAN chassis with a rear steering axle, features include wireless remote controls with colour screen, automatic levelling, and fully variable outrigger set up and monitoring. The new crane will be based at the company’s location in Maldon, Essex.
Eastern Crane director Chris Ashworth, said: “The Böcker AK 46/6000 was a no brainer for us as a fast growing company. We needed a replacement for a 23-year-old truck crane and this was the perfect option. With its compact design, long boom length and variable outriggers it is a lightweight alternative to complement our current Liebherr All Terrain fleet. The capabilities of this versatile machine will allow our company to progress and improve the service available to our customers.”
