70 Manitou booms for Beyer

German rental company Beyer-Mietservice has taken delivery of 70 Manitou boom lifts, which follow 45 Magni 360 degree telehandlers delivered earlier this month – see: More 360s for Beyer.

Part of a fleet renewal and expansion program, the company has ordered 20 units of Manitou’s 32ft 120 AETJs, 20 of the 46ft 160 ATJ+, 20 48ft 170 AETJs and 10 units of the 84ft 280 TJs. The 120 AETJs and 170 AETJs are all electric, powered by 48 volt/240Ah battery packs, while the remaining 30 units are all equipped with the latest Stage V diesels. All models have also been fitted with secondary guarding systems.

The company says Manitou booms have been a reliable mainstay in its fleet for many years and that they are with its customers. The units will be spread across the company’s branch network.
