Third 70m for Freo

Australian crane rental company Freo has taken delivery of a third 70 metre Bronto Skylift S70XR truck mounted platform.

Mounted on a 36 tonne Scania P410 8x8 chassis, the S70XR offers a maximum outreach of 38 metres, or 33 metres with a working height of 46 metres. The new unit will join two existing S70XDTs in the Freo fleet, which are currently based in the Bowen Basin mining region of Queensland.

Freo has added a third 70 metre Bronto to its fleet

The new S70XR has been ordered with a 2.4 to 3.7 metre extendable platform which offers a maximum capacity of 600kg and features 440 degrees of platform rotation - 220 degrees in each direction. Additional options ordered include radio remote controls, a material handling attachment, a 240/415 volt hydraulic generator and Bronto’s Loadman device that measures the ground bearing capacity.
