Briggs Equipment Ireland has taken delivery of the first 30ft SL30RTE and 26ft SL26RTE lithium-ion powered Speed Levels in Ireland.
Supplied by Ahern Ireland, both models feature 11.5kW lithium-ion battery packs with a built in battery management system and an integrated electric powertrain. The company claims the double battery pack provides up to eight hours operation from a single charge, or up to a week, depending on usage.
The SL26RTE offers a 10 metre working height, a 680kg platform capacity and a platform length of 4.6 metres with a 910mm rollout deck extension. The larger SL30RTE offers an 11 metre working height with a slightly reduced platform capacity of 590kg and platform length of 4.23 metres. Features include four wheel drive and the ability to drive at full height and self-level on slopes up to 13 degrees. The two units were delivered to the company’s depot in Dublin.
Martin Masterson, Briggs short term hire manager in Dublin, said: “We are really impressed with the two electric Snorkel Speed Levels. We are finding many benefits to the unique design of the Speed Level in terms of its ability to be driven at full height unlike a comparative rough terrain scissor lift, and our customers, depot team and delivery drivers are also appreciating the clean and quiet operation of these electric lifts.”
David Roddy, Ahern Ireland sales director, added: “It is great to see Briggs Equipment taking the first step into zero emission powered access alternatives, and we sincerely thank them for their trust in Ahern Ireland and Snorkel with this order. We are confident in the performance of our lithium-ion battery solution and we are thrilled that Briggs Equipment is already receiving positive feedback from their team and customers.”
