Up on the glass roof

Spotted this week in the UKs Midlands, two men working on a conservatory roof which is often quite a challenge.

To reach it they have used a ladder fitted with a single bracket/ladder jack and have then rested a ladder staging on the bracket and the apex of the conservatory roof, with a substantial cantilever.

The risks are clear, the ladder looks slightly out of kilter while the is risk of standing on the cantilever if the man on top gets absorbed in whatever work he will be doing, causing the stage to tip. Then of course there is the case of no guardrail or fall arrest equipment.

To be fair this is a less risky option to many solutions we have seen over the years, but it still qualifies for our Death Wish series.
