Kiloutou acquires Akmo

French rental company Kiloutou group has acquired modular space/cabin rental company Akmo, taking it into a new market sector.

Based in Villeneuve-le-Roi in southern suburbs of Paris, Akmo was established by Gilles Soreau in 1991 and runs a fleet of 2,000 units, ranging from modular office cabins to storage containers and sanitary facilities. Chief executive Gilles Soreau will remain on board to manage the business.

Chief executive Xavier du Boÿs said: "This new acquisition represents an important step forward in the development and diversification of Kiloutou. It allows us to pursue our growth through positioning in a new business and strengthens our multi-specialist strategy. Our objective is to accelerate our deployment in this specialty through internal growth, opening of branches and acquisitions: we want to support our customers in this market and fully benefit from strong complementarities with our current product range."
