Richter's new LTM 1250-5.1 handover

Owner Matthias Richter said: "The LTM 1250-5.1 closes the gap between our LTM 1160-5.2 and our LTM 1450-8.1. We can now offer a crane in every segment. We deliberately opted for the 250 tonne crane because it is powerful and also has a very powerful hydraulically adjustable lattice jib, ideal for erecting electricity pylons, for example."

"We are satisfied with the cranes and we appreciate their standardised controls. This allows us to deploy our crane drivers flexibly on all crane types, from 50 to 750 tonne. Innovative technology supports us on the construction site. For example, we now order the boom nose camera with all cranes improving visibility and therefore precision during assembly and safety during use.”

Matthias Richter started off in 2007 as a 'one man band' with a single loader crane, setting up Richter Kran und Schwerlast that same year in Grimma, central Germany, he initially focused on transporting building materials. Then in 2016 purchased his first Liebherr, an LTF 1060-4.1 truck mounted crane which he still uses to help build wind turbine foundations. He added two more Liebherr’s, the LTM 1070-4.2 and an LTM 1090-4.2 and by 2019, had 20 employees and was obliged to move to a new site in Leipzig.

The company now employs 55 and offers both transport and crane work. All the mobile cranes in the business are Liebherr topped by a 750 tonne LTM 1750-9.1 purchased second hand.
