The company, founded three years ago by owner Barry Brady and Manuel Gonzalez has gone from strength to strength with both Brady and Gonzalez keen to build strong quality foundation. Brady previously worked at Universal and All Access while Gonzalez was with MJ.

The financial and other difficulties that these companies faced has spurred Brady on to doing it right with Elavation.
Following a conservative financial plan and ploughing most of the profit back into the business.

Its main market is the greater Milton Keynes region, although it will follow its customers further afield when asked and increasingly finds itself working on projects in London.

Elavation is now a member of the Access Link and Brady is a passionate supporter of the association of independent companies that combine to offer coverage throughout the UK and Ireland.

The company’s general policy is to concentrate on self propelled aerial lifts up to 45ft, although it re-rents in larger and more specialised units as a service to its regular customers.

In spite of its 45ft concentration Elavation has ordered a number of new Niftylift HR21’s following a successful evaluation. The first of a dozen units has already been delivered, although in JLG colours.

Small electric scissors make up around half of the 160 units that the company currently operates, it set out by standardising on Genie scissors but has switched this policy in recent months to Skyjack and is looking forward to evaluating Skyjacks new 45ft straight boom lift.

When it comes to articulated booms Niftylift is clearly the machine of choice, with the HR12 being its most popular unit. Although the company also has JLG and Genie booms in the fleet, most of which are 45ft articulated.

Niftylift’s production plant and head offices are barely a stones throw away in Milton Keynes, so understandably there is a strong local incentive in favour of Nifty, however Brady says that customers appreciate the extra reach and light weight that the Nifty booms offer.
